PS Nudes Contour & Highlight Palette

I was recently invited to attend the launch of the Primark PS nudes range in Dublin which was Amazing! I was so grateful to be invited and one of the highlights from the event was to watch celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales to Rihanna and many more use the collection so effortlessly. One of the products that stood out to me from the range was the Contour/Highlight palette.

I couldn’t wait for it to arrive into stores so I luckily picked it up the week before last for €6! Having swatched it already at the event I knew the pigments were promising in the 3 highlighters and one contour shade.

It’s such a versatile palette, you don’t just have to use the palette for what it says as it works great on the eyes too! Charmed is probably my favourite highlight from the palette and it’s also a fantastic one to use for the inner corner and brow bone.

I don’t like very severe contouring so I’ve applied it under my cheekbones and the highlight as you can see is on my cheekbones, the tip of my nose & on my forehead. I find subtle is better usually and especially for a daytime makeup
I’ve used  Charmed here in the inner corner & browbone
The only downside I can say from the palette is the contour shade may be too dark for many complexions. It would of been great to have 2 contour shades with one lighter and just 2 highlights but if you put on a bit of tan then you’re good to go! Also, for the price at €6 such a bargain!

It’s in stores now but possibly for a limited time only as the range is proving to be quite popular. Theres also a gorgeous eyeshadow palette, contour sticks, lipsticks and so much more to check out.

Have you tried anything from the PS Nudes collection or will you be purchasing anything?

Favourite Budget Lipsticks

Hi all,

I have built quite a collection of lipsticks at this stage and many are super affordable with a long lasting finish. I'd like to share some of my favourites so far with you if lipsticks are your thing. The selection I have picked are under €9 each! Bargain, right.
My favourites - Note Cosmetics
I love wearing lipstick and generally stick with pinks, dark browns and if I pick a nude, I always team it with a darker liner. I find they suit me best and I prefer a creamy consistency in a lippy as they don't dry out your lips.

One brand that has stood out to me for ticking all the right boxes is Note Cosmetics. I currently own 5 of their lipsticks and they are fantastic! Their Rich colour range are €4.95 and the long wearing range is €7.95.

Note Cosmetics:

They're known for having amazing lipsticks which I have to agree on! I was recently at a makeup masterclass with Mrsmakeup using Revlon products in Ch Chemist,Tralee and she used this stunning red lipstick on her model. I had to have it! Priced at only €8.79 in the shade Fire & Ice.

Sleek Makeup:
I first came across Sleek when I was studying makeup in the UK 12 years ago in either Boots or Superdrug. Super affordable brand! They have a great range of colours in the lipstick range suiting all preferences. I chose another cerise pink to add to the collection in shade Dream Decade.

The Makeup Gallery - Dealz. :
I've tried a few things from the make up range and although I found some were better than others, this lip gloss is by far my favourite from their range. Its described as an intense lip colour and you can wear it on its own or how I like to wear it is over a nude lipstick. Take the creamy nude by Note or my go to lip combo is MAC blankety with this gloss over it. Its only €1.49 in the shade Nice n nude.

Essence Cosmetics:
One of the best budget brands on the market. They have so many products I've yet to try with lipsticks being one of them. I do have two glosses from their range that I adore. Again can be worn on their own for a subtle, natural look or I usually use them over a lipstick for extra glam. Priced under €4 each!

If I had to add anymore to the collection, they would be Rimmel and NYX. Their lipsticks are always gorgeous!
That's it for now, I would love to know your budget favourites or any that I'm missing out on.
